When you shop at our thrift store or donate gently-used items, you can make a difference in the lives of countless people in our community

From home goods to electronics to children’s clothing and vacuum cleaners, our thrift thrift stores offer deeply discounted, like-new items in a clean and organized shopping environment. The best part? You can score great deals and support The Salvation Army Potomac Division at the same time! All sales directly fund local, life-giving programs and services.
 

Why Shop and Donate to a Salvation Army Thrift Store? 

The Salvation Army thrift Store is at 1275 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401, in the Eagle Village Shopping Center

We gladly accept donations of gently used clothing, furniture, appliances, jewelry, and “treasures.” Pick-ups can also be arranged by calling the store at  540-373-3432 option #2.

Your donation not only helps The Salvation Army operations but also helps us to help families who may need emergency assistance with clothing or furniture.

Monday – Saturday (excluding holidays)
10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 

We accept cash, check, Visa, and Mastercard.

Furniture items paid in full will be held up to 48 hours if prior arrangements are made with a store employee or manager.

Donation Hours

Monday- Saturday 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM excluding holidays. Bins are available after hours for bagged clothing and shoes. Please no glass, furniture or household goods. Items left outside the bins or donation center are subject to theft and damage. We appreciate any effort made to donate during business hours so we can better utilize items for our community!

 

Donation Reminders

  • All donations must be bagged or boxed.
  • No clothes will be accepted on hangers.
  • We do not accept the following items:
    • Gas appliances
    • Console TVs
    • Dishwashers
    • Waterbeds
    • Mattresses/Box Springs
    • Yard sale items that still have stickers on them (accepted only if stickers are removed)
    • Medical Equipment
  • Health Department regulations require that all donated upholstered furniture must be free of stains, rips/tears, and pet hair. Furniture must be vacuumed.
  • Please do not drop off items with excessive dust/dirt, mold, pet hair, or visible mouse droppings/cobwebs. Per Health Department regulations, these items will be discarded.
  • All appliances must be in working order and clean.

Furniture Pickups

Limited pickups Monday and Thursday

Pickups can be scheduled for larger furniture items and appliances. We will pick up additional boxes and bags of misc. items, in addition to furniture. Please have other items boxed and bagged and ready for pick-up at the scheduled time. All items must be located on the ground level and either outside home or in a garage. We cannot enter a home, basement, or the back of a building. 

Pick-ups for furniture and appliances can be scheduled by calling the Thrift Store at 540-373-3431.
